Ch 14 and the Kiosk

This chapter highlighted the one user Kiosk interface and its use in Museums. This technology has come up over and over again throughout this class. The one on one interface is a great test for the ability of a program or access point to guide its user through a portal of learning.
This chapter gives us the nuts and bolts of the scripting and layout and process that gives us the plan of action for making the kiosk interface a reality. The scripting portion of this chapter was the most helpful for me considering its thoroughness and attention to detail. It really gives me the concept in a more tangible and approachable way.

Ch 10 Boring But Useful

I found this chapter to be quite boring with much to much belaboring of points. However, I did find it quite useful considering the amount of info regarding layouts, keywords and site maps. It will play in directly to the project that I am planning when I remake the website for my project

CH 8

This chapter covered the different layout types. These types depend on what and how much information you want to give your users. I prefer the hierarchical branching that is segmented to reduce confusion. I found this extremely helpful for my project. I will choose a single level linear structure for that.
